Charter Sales Specialist
Synergy Flight Center is a rapidly growing aircraft charter and management company seeking a full-time Aircraft Charter Sales Specialist position to work in person at our headquarters in Bloomington, Illinois (BMI).
In addition to aircraft charter, the Synergy family of companies are also a full-service aviation FBO with a brand-new facility and offers aircraft management, flight training, aircraft rental, aircraft maintenance, aircraft detailing and aircraft sales.
Charter Sales Specialist
The Sales Specialist plays a vital role in the overall customer experience and is a combination of sales, customer service and operations. The candidate is a highly organized self-starter and continuously displays professionalism and respect towards colleagues, clients, and vendors.
Additionally, the candidate will be expected to deliver exceptional customer service experience with acute attention to detail. The candidate is also a collaborative problem solver and can multitask with the ability to follow direction, yet not afraid to provide input or suggestions when needed.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Generate charter business by seeking new opportunities and following up.
Receive and provide timely and accurate quotes for charter requests.
Gather information from clients and build accurate flight itineraries using online software.
Maintain a culture of total customer service focused on anticipating clients’ needs and exceeding their expectations.
Communicate effectively with flight crews to ensure safety, compliance and customer service are successfully orchestrated.
Collaborate and plan aircraft movements with flight crews to ensure all airspace, airport restrictions, noise abatement procedures, and NOTAMS are complied with.
Scheduling and coordination of ground transportation, hotel accommodations, and airline travel for flight crew and/or passengers in accordance with company policy and procedures.
Coordinate aircraft handling with FBOs to include arrangements for fuel, catering, hangar, aircraft cleaning, after hours services, international services, or other services as needed.
Anticipate and communicate any operational issues that may affect the successful completion of a flight during the initial quoting phase.
Provide detailed pre/post flight briefings to crews and flight following duties as assigned.
Collect all trip related paperwork from crews to facilitate proper invoicing and record keeping.
Assist management to increase revenue by analyzing flight performance, tracking expenses and improving efficiency.
When requested, track and report metrics to improve company productivity and efficiencies.
Continually maintain and update client and vendor contact information in CRM utility.
Learn to utilize all other computer systems and programs to perform job duties.
Be a Synergy brand ambassador, always maintain excellent personal reputation and integrity.
Meet or exceed monthly & annual sales and operations goals.
Collaborate with management to stay updated on new products, services, and policies.
Other duties as requested.
Job Requirements
Must have a hunter mentality.
Must have world-class customer service skills (preferably to C-level executives)
Must have a strong work ethic and acute attention to detail.
Must have the ability to multitask and stay organized.
Must be a team player and be able to collaborate with others.
Must have a solid understanding of geography and time zones.
Must be willing to work a variable schedule to cover core hours, as well as night, weekend, and holiday hours if need be. Must be available to be on-call when not in the office.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (Aviation or Business); or 2+ years sales’ experience in Aviation, Logistics and/or Hospitality
FAA Dispatch Certificate or Pilot Certificate (preferred)
Legal right to work permanently in the United States.

Compensation
The likely annual salary range for this position is $50,000-$85,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly other requirements.
